*  Most important time to maintain your engine is the winter months.  Fogging the engine protects vital internal engine parts from rust and corrosion.  Changing gear lube reveals seal leaks and checks low oil levels.  Greasing tilt and trim steering removes harmful water.  It is important to note that Fall is the most important time to change 4-stroke oil.  Hydro-Carbon build-up is extremely hard on bearings over the winter months.

**  Water impellers should be changed every 2-3 years depending on usage, 3 years is the maximum you should go without replacement as they do deteriorate.  A water pump not pumping efficiently will overheat your engine and cause severe damage!

***  Anodes are put on engines to prevent electrolysis, which damages engines and aluminum boats.  Anodes should be checked yearly, if any corrosion is visible, the anode should be replaced to avoid damage to your engine or boat.  (don't know what they are or where to find them?  Phone and ask, we are here to help.)
